Mullet Fish Cakes

Fish cakes are a classic dish that is found all over the world. It has been a way of using up leftovers that might otherwise be thrown away.
Ingredients per 1000g (1 kg) of meat
| Cooked mullet trimmings, finely chopped | 453 g | 1 lb |
| Potatoes, cooked and mashed | 453 g | 1 lb |
| Small onion, finely chopped or grated | 1 | 1 |
| Butter | 1 Tbsp | 1 Tbsp |
| Heavy cream | 1/4 cup | 1/4 cup |
| White pepper | 1/4 tsp | 1/4 tsp |
| Salt to taste | 1/2 tsp | 1/2 tsp |
| Parsley, chopped | 1/4 cup | 1/4 cup |
| Egg, beaten | 1 | 1 |
| Bread crumbs | As needed | As needed |
Instructions
- Combine everything together and mix well.
- Form into cakes, roll first in beaten egg, then in bread crumbs.
- Fry in hot oil until golden brown on both sides.
