Salmon Pâté with Cream Cheese

Smoked fish such as salmon, trout, mullet and mackerel can be used for making wonderful pâtés and salads. Cream cheese, double cream, sour cream, mayonnaise, butter, eggs, and lemon juice are common ingredients. Pepper, cayenne, dill, parsley, curry, meat stock (consomme) and avocado are usually added.

Ingredients per 1000g (1 kg) of meat

chopped or ground salmon trimmings 125 g 4.4 oz.
cream cheese 125 g 4.4 oz.
clear consomme 125 ml ½ cup
salt, pepper, lemon juice to taste to taste
chopped parsley or dill for decoration for decoration

Instructions

  1. Mix warm consomme with cream cheese.
  2. Add seasonings, chopped salmon and mix everything together.
  3. Place in refrigerator and when set, sprinkle with parsley or dill.
